Richard Dreyfuss, best known for his iconic role in Jaws, is diving back into perilous shark-infested waters in the upcoming thriller Into the Deep. This time, Halloween star Scout Taylor-Compton leads the cast in a gripping tale that promises more than just aquatic danger.
The official trailer for Into the Deep teases that sharks won’t be the only threat the characters face in this intense action-packed film. Set to hit select theaters, Digital, and On Demand on January 24, 2025, the movie follows a group of tourists who find themselves held hostage by modern-day pirates. The criminals force the captives to dive into shark-infested waters in search of a sunken drug shipment.
Directed by Christian Sesma, with a script penned by Chad Law and Josh Ridghway—who previously collaborated on Sesma’s 2022 action film Section 8—Into the Deep stars Callum McGowan, Scout Taylor-Compton, and Jon Seda, alongside notable appearances from Stuart Townsend and Richard Dreyfuss.
The film, which has received an R-rating for bloody violence and strong language, promises edge-of-your-seat thrills and brutal confrontations with both human and aquatic predators.
