Legendary horror actor Tony Todd, known for his iconic roles in Candyman and Final Destination, left behind a slate of exciting projects before his passing last year. Among these is The Bunker, a sci-fi horror film that explores themes of isolation, paranoia, and survival under extreme pressure. Today, The Hollywood Reporter unveiled the trailer for this gripping new film.
Directed by Brian Hanson and penned by Hanson and Charles L. Bunce, The Bunker follows a tense narrative set against the backdrop of an Earth under siege by alien invaders. As strange alien ships appear in the sky, Dr. Michelle Riley (played by Chelsea Edmundson), a micropathogen specialist, is sealed inside an underground bunker. Her mission: to develop a biological weapon that will help humanity fight back against the extraterrestrial threat.
Alongside Edmundson, The Bunker features a strong cast, including Tony Todd, Tobin Bell, and Chad Michael Collins.
Electric Entertainment has secured the North American rights to the film, though a release date is yet to be announced. Keep an eye out for more updates on this thrilling project, one of Tony Todd’s last contributions to the horror genre.
