On Tuesday, the makers of Gangers, directed and starring Sundar C, unveiled the highly anticipated trailer for the film. Featuring a star-studded cast that includes Sundar C, Vadivelu, and Catherine Tresa, the film promises a mix of action, comedy, and suspense.
In the trailer, Sundar C plays the role of an undercover cop who infiltrates a school as a physical education trainer, sharing teaching duties with the comically inept Vadivelu. His mission is to bring a group of criminals to justice by outsmarting them and recovering stolen crores of rupees. To aid in his quest, Sundar C assembles a quirky team, which includes Vadivelu, Catherine Tresa, and others.
The trailer promises a nostalgic experience, recalling the humor and style of the 90s with Vadivelu showcasing his trademark comedy through various avatars, alongside subtle references to iconic films. The supporting cast includes Bagavathi Perumal, Esakki Krishnasamy, Hareesh Peradi, Mime Gopi, and Munishkanth.
Sundar C and Vadivelu’s long-standing partnership in films like Winner, Giri, Thalainagaram, and London adds to the excitement surrounding Gangers. Their last collaboration, Nagaram Marupakkam, was released in 2010, making Gangers their first film together in 14 years.
