20th Century Studios has released a gripping 60-second promo for The Amateur, a revenge-driven thriller directed by British filmmaker James Hawes, known for his work on the acclaimed spy series Slow Horses. Set for release in theaters on April 11th, 2025, this marks the first fresh marketing material since the film’s initial trailer debuted last year.
The film follows Charles Heller, portrayed by Rami Malek, a brilliant but introverted CIA cryptographer whose life is shattered when his wife is killed in a terrorist attack in London. With his agency refusing to take action, Heller decides to take matters into his own hands, using his unique skills to track down those responsible. The film delves into his dangerous global pursuit, where he employs his intelligence to outwit both enemies and his own government.
