Dragon, an upcoming Tamil film starring actor Pradeep Ranganathan, is poised to captivate audiences when it releases on February 21, 2025. The movie, written and directed by Ashwath Marimuthu—best known for Oh My Kadavule (2020)—features an ensemble cast that includes Anupama Parameswaran, Kayadu Lohar, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, and Mariam George.
The trailer for Dragon, which was released on Monday evening, offers a glimpse of a compelling coming-of-age story. Pradeep Ranganathan plays a juvenile, hot-headed character, whose journey is shaped by his loyal friends, portrayed by popular YouTubers-turned-actors VJ Siddhu and Harshath Khan.
With a strong technical team backing the project, Dragon boasts a musical score by Leon James, cinematography by Niketh Bommi, and editing by Pradeep E. Ragav. The production design is helmed by V. Selva Kumar, while the action sequences are choreographed by Vicky and Dilip Subbarayan. Additionally, JD has designed the choreography, and Dinesh Manoharan and Praveen Raja have worked on the costume design. The screenplay and dialogues are written by Ashwath Marimuthu, with Marimuthu and Ranganathan also credited with the story.
In addition to its Tamil release, Dragon will also debut in Telugu as Return of The Dragon, expanding its reach to a wider audience. The film’s post-theatrical OTT rights have been acquired by Netflix, while Thinik Music holds the audio rights.
Fans can look forward to the film’s theatrical release, promising an exciting and heartfelt cinematic experience.
