“The Containment”: A Chilling Tale of Possession and Family Trauma

by Chris Davies

From Black Mandala, the production company behind the highly anticipated horror film Play Dead, comes The Containment, a supernatural thriller that merges psychological horror with the chilling allure of demonic possession. Directed by Jack Zagha Kababie and Yossy Zagha, this spine-tingling film promises to take audiences on a terrifying journey into the depths of family trauma and dark forces.

The story centers on a young girl overtaken by a malevolent entity, whose grip grows stronger by the day. As the girl battles to retain her very soul, her mother desperately seeks help from doctors, exorcists, and so-called experts—yet no one can rid her child of the evil consuming her.

As the line between the supernatural and reality blurs, a devout nun steps in, determined to confront the forces at play. However, the deeper she delves into the mystery, the more terrifying the truth becomes. It becomes clear that the real threat may not be the demon itself, but something even more insidious, a force beyond the reach of prayer or exorcism.

Written by David Desola and Yossy Zagha, The Containment stars Fernanda Romero, Jack Gouldbourne, and Alice Coulthard, with supporting performances by Roger Cudney, Darren Clarke, Gia Hunter, and Edmund Dehn.

A newly released trailer offers a haunting preview of the film’s eerie visuals and psychological tension, building anticipation for what promises to be a chilling exploration of the darkness within.
