The Nowhere Game, a gripping survival thriller, will see Chilling Adventures of Sabrina stars Kiernan Shipka and Mckenna Grace teaming up for an intense new project. The film, produced by Erik Feig’s Picturestart, is set to be directed by David Charbonier and Justin Douglas Powell from a script by Alex Pototsky. While specific production details remain under wraps, the film is expected to delve deep into the high-stakes world of survival horror.
Set in an isolated forest, The Nowhere Game follows the harrowing journey of two young women, Allie (played by Shipka) and Carin (portrayed by Grace), who are unknowingly thrust into a deadly survival game. Unbeknownst to them, an online audience watches their every move as they fight for survival against a sadistic captor.
The plot unfolds during a road trip that takes a nightmarish turn when the two women are kidnapped by a ruthless sadist and forced into a brutal contest. Given only a short head start, Allie and Carin are abandoned in the forest with limited resources, hunted relentlessly while an online audience watches in morbid fascination. The women must use their intelligence and teamwork to evade their pursuer, but as they uncover eerie clues left behind by previous “contestants,” they realize that survival is far from assured. With danger closing in, they must transform from prey to predators in order to outsmart their captor and end the game with a bloody resolution.
This collaboration marks another chapter in the careers of Shipka and Grace, who previously starred together in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, where Shipka portrayed Sabrina Spellman and Grace played a young version of the character in flashbacks.
Both actresses have established themselves in the horror and thriller genres. Shipka’s resume includes roles in Carriers, The Blackcoat’s Daughter, and The Silence, while her more recent work includes the slasher comedy Totally Killer and the horror film Longlegs. Grace, known for her standout role in The Haunting of Hill House, also starred in Annabelle Comes Home and The Bad Seed. She is also set to appear in Scream 7 and has received an Emmy nomination for her role in The Handmaid’s Tale.
The Nowhere Game promises to deliver a tense and psychological experience, with both Shipka and Grace taking on roles that will push them to new extremes in their careers.
