“Rosario” Horror Film Set for Nationwide Release in May

Mucho Mas Releasing has unveiled the official trailer for the indie horror film Rosario, set for a nationwide theatrical debut on May 2, 2025, marking the beginning of the summer movie season. The film, directed by Colombian filmmaker Felipe Vargas, promises to bring spine-chilling moments to horror fans across the country.

Rosario follows Wall Street stockbroker Rosario Fuentes, portrayed by Emeraude Toubia (known for the With Love series), who is forced to spend the night alone in her grandmother’s apartment after her sudden death. As a heavy snowstorm traps her inside, Rosario discovers a hidden chamber containing occult artifacts linked to dark, generational rituals. As supernatural events begin to unfold, Rosario is thrust into a terrifying struggle against otherworldly forces that have taken control of her grandmother’s body.

The film features an ensemble cast, including David Dastmalchian, Paul Ben-Victor, José Zúñiga, Diana Lein, and Emilia Faucher. With an atmosphere filled with eerie tension and unsettling occurrences, Rosario promises to captivate horror fans, delivering a chilling experience of claustrophobic terror within a massive, haunted apartment.

Directed by Felipe Vargas, who is making his feature directorial debut following several short films, including Milk Teeth, Rosario features a screenplay written by Alan Trezza.
