Amazon MGM Studios has unveiled the latest trailer for Unstoppable, a powerful sports drama chronicling the life of wrestling champion Anthony Robles. Following its world premiere at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival, the film is set to stream on Prime Video starting January 16, 2025.
A Champion’s Rise Against the Odds
The newly released trailer offers a first look at Emmy Award winner Jharrel Jerome portraying the role of Anthony Robles. The film tells the inspiring story of Robles, who, despite being born with only one leg, triumphed in the world of collegiate wrestling. In 2011, he achieved the extraordinary feat of winning the NCAA individual wrestling national championship.
The ensemble cast includes major stars such as Jennifer Lopez, who plays Judy Robles, Bobby Cannavale as Rick Robles, Don Cheadle as Coach Shawn Charles, and Michael Peña as Coach Bobby Williams.
The official synopsis for the film reads: “Despite being born without a right leg, Anthony Robles rises to become an NCAA Division 1 Champion, ultimately winning a national championship against the school that rejected him—national powerhouse Iowa.”

Unstoppable is directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker William Goldenberg, with a screenplay penned by Eric Champnella, Alex Harris, and John Hindman. The film is adapted from Robles’ memoir, Unstoppable: From Underdog to Undefeated: How I Became a Champion, co-written with Austin Murphy.
Robles, who served as a producer on the film, also takes on the role of his own stunt double, demonstrating his wrestling expertise for the movie‘s intense sequences. Alongside Robles, the production team includes prominent names such as Ben Affleck, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, Andrew Fraser, Gary Lewis, and David Crockett.
